Tot’s Time is a place for children to learn and grow both socially and emotionally in a bright, vibrant, classroom setting. Though an informal program, it has structure and routine which fosters pre-school readiness with a goal of having the children gain confidence and develop a love of learning.
This is an interactive program allowing parents/grandparents/caregivers the opportunity to work with their children and watch them emerge into their own sense of independence. The program focuses on creativity, exploration, music, literacy, and math. Activities include exhibit play, art-making including the use of crayons, paint, chalk, and collage and exploring basic math concepts; numbers, colors, shapes, and patterns. Story time is interactive with caregivers invited to be the reader. We also sing, dance, march, and use musical instruments. As the children learn and develop social skills with their peers, it also provides a chance for parents to build a sense of community as they share strategies, ideas, places, and activities that have helped their children.
